My Story

I am a 40 year-old woman that does not « suffer » from Crohn’s Disease anymore since we can not cure this disease but I have taken my health in charge. I am not the type that likes to give a lot of details of my past because I am not an attention seeker especially not in search of pity because of my past health issues. Also, I must admit that talking about bowel problems is not a subject that is really fun but rather humiliating… If I am deciding to share this extraordinary story with you it is because I want to talk about these superior quality nutritional supplements which are exceptional.

I will briefly describe my story and if you wish to have more details I am available and will gladly share with you the details.

My health problems began in my teenage years. It started out with anemia and then at the age of 21 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. In the first few years after the diagnosis it was like a roller coaster. In and out of the hospital and a lot of episodes.

Then around the age of 30 I started to suffer insomnia and I also began having some pain in my right arm (I was working at the computer a lot). I often had migraines and to top it all off my stomach was starting to cause me problems again. I was exhausted! I am usually strong but it was too much. So in 2000 I saw my family doctor and she diagnosed a depression.

The following years were very difficult. My abdominal pains were intolerable and I ended up having a surgery which resulted in having 10 inches of intestine removed and also my right ovary and my uterus since there was so much inflammation in my intestines that it had attached itself to my uterus.

In 2004, I began having joint pains and the migraines persisted. My doctor sent me to pass a nuclear exam to see if I had arthritis since it is a side effect of Crohn’s just as depression. My insomnia isn’t getting better so my energy was very low and I had to take a nap every afternoon. Then an other depression sets in, this is too much!

It’s at this moment that a very good friend of mine talks to me about USANA. I must admit that at first, like many people, I resisted. I told her that I was taking already enough pills and that I did not need to enlarge my collection. Two months went by when I finally told her that I was ready to give it a try and that I had nothing to lose since nothing else was working. SURPRISE!! After only a few weeks I started to feel the energy coming back. My sleep wasn’t disturbed and I would fall asleep as soon as I went to bed.

Only 2 months went by when I realized that I had less and less joint pains, which are now completely gone. I can’t believe it. A few months later I realize that it has been 5 months since the last time I had to take my medication for the migraines. After a consultation, my doctor tells me that I look great and that I could stop taking my antidepressants, which I gladly did.

It had been a very long time since I had felt that good, it was incredible. People who know me also couldn’t believe it and they were very happy for me. The USANA story

Dr. Myron Wentz hypothesizes that foods with high peroxide values, especially processed, fatty foods, generate “free radicals” that in turn damage healthy cells. Researchers believe that supplementary antioxidants are necessary for combating these free radicals in addition to the body’s normal defense systems.
